A long and rich journey has guided the St. Louis Civic Orchestra to its pivotal point today - and the beautiful music continues. A collaboration of fine musicians under the guiding hand of Artistic Director Edward Dolbashian produces polished and sophisticated performances. The orchestra provides an opportunity for professional as well as skilled amateur musicians to practice weekly and give quality performances during the season, thus enriching the cultural life in the greater St. Louis area.

Members of the St. Louis Civic Orchestra will kick of the 2012 Sounds of Summer Concert Series at the Chesterfield Amphitheater on Saturday, May 12 at 8 p.m. This FREE concert entitled, "Pops Under the Stars" will feature selections from West Side Story, Pirates of the Caribbean and a rousing rendition of Stars & Stripes Forever. Chesterfield Mayor Bruce Geiger will be conduct a piece as well!
