ANTHOLOGY

This is a band comprised of seasoned musicians who have a passion for the legacy of the Allman Brothers, but what set this ensemble apart from any others is their personal connection to the Allman Brothers, and Gregg Allman in particular. Two of the members Danny Liston ( vocals) and Dickie Steltenpohl ( bass) played in a Midwest band Mama’s Pride signed to Atlantic Records by the legendary Ahmet Ertegun. At one point in their career their paths crossed with Gregg Allman. He was impressed with their understanding of the feel for his music, that he asked them to be his band. So playing the music of the Allman Brothers had become part of their DNA. Other members of the band Tom Denman keyboards, and Terry Midkiff, who also plays with (Amanda Fish) Matt Rowland( guitar) Catapults, Rob Lee, drums(Mike Zito, Nashville session player) Joe Meyer drums ( Nicki Castro) It’s Allman Brothers the way they would play, not note for note, but played with the kind of passion that ABB music evokes.

GHOST KITCHEN

Ghost Kitchen is a St. Louis, Missouri-based collective dedicated to the soul-stirring improvisations and rhythmic depths of the American jam band tradition. Formed in the spring of 2020, the band emerged from a unique moment in time when the world went quiet, but the music wouldn't stop.

The group first found their chemistry as members of the St. Joseph Manchester church band. When the pandemic necessitated social distancing, the church called upon them to move the music outside, performing "parking lot concerts" to provide the local community with a much-needed sense of connection. What began as a diverse set of covers quickly evolved into something more profound; between the open air and the shared uncertainty of the times, the musicians found a permanent home in the sprawling, adventurous catalogs of the Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers Band.

Since those early outdoor sessions, Ghost Kitchen has meticulously expanded their repertoire, blending tight vocal harmonies with the fluid, dual-guitar-driven energy that defines the genre. Now a staple of the St. Louis music scene, the band caters to a growing community of local "Dead Heads" and classic rock aficionados, delivering setlists that honor the spirit of the original recordings while embracing the "anything can happen" spontaneity of live improvisation.

Whether they are revisiting the blues-infused peaks of the Allmans or the cosmic folk of the Dead, Ghost Kitchen remains GRaTeFUL for the journey that started in a parking lot and continues to grow across the stages of the Midwest.
